Process

How we design and ship

Four stages. One standard: useful, beautiful, free at the core.

Assembly line

01 / 04

Sense

Discover the real job to be done

We start with friction: interviews, support signals, and workflows that feel broken. No feature for feature's sake - only problems worth a full product. If we cannot name the human job in one sentence, we do not start building.

Phase outcome

A clear job-to-be-done, constraints, and a yes/no go decision.

  • User research and support patterns
  • Problem framing over solution shopping
  • Ruthless scope discipline
  • Kill criteria before kickoff

Deep dive

How each phase actually runs

The stage above is the feel. Below is the craft — what we do, what we refuse, and what leaves the phase.

Principles we do not bend

  • One job per product

If it needs a second elevator pitch, it is two products - or not ready.

  • Free at the core

Essential value ships free. We only charge bare cost for extras that cost us to run.

  • Separate surfaces

Apps live on their own domains. This site is the brand hub and journal - not a dump of every feature.

  • Living craft

Interfaces should feel organic and calm. Motion explains structure; it never distracts from the job.
