Moodly - Privacy note

Moodly is local-first. Mood entries, journals, and trackers live on your device. We have no product server that can read your private notes.
What is stored, and where
- Mood entries, journals, trackers, progress, and settings are stored in the app’s on-device database (encrypted where the platform build supports it).
- Photos attached to journals stay in that same local store.
- Backups are created only when you request them and are saved where you choose.
What we do not do
- No required account for core journaling.
- No advertising identifiers or third-party ad SDKs tied to your mood content.
- We do not remotely monitor journal text for risk scoring; crisis resources, if shown, are general and not triggered by scanning your words on our servers.
Health data (optional)
If you connect Android Health Connect (or similar platform health APIs), Moodly may read metrics such as sleep, steps, workouts, or heart rate to surface patterns on-device. That data is used locally; you can revoke access in system or app settings.
PIN lock and recovery
If you set a PIN or passphrase, recovery may be impossible without it or without a backup you control. That is intentional for privacy: HumNod cannot reset encryption keys we never hold.
Deletion
In-app delete-all and uninstall remove local data. There is nothing on HumNod servers to erase for core local data, because it never arrives there.
Changes
If this notice changes in a material way, we will update the date on this page. We will not weaken the core privacy promises without a clear, dated revision.
