Filely - Privacy note
Last updated: July 2026
Filely is fully offline. Your files are processed in your browser and stored on your device - Filely has no server that receives them, and no account exists to collect them into.
Your files
Files and folders you import are read by code running in your browser and kept in on-device storage (IndexedDB). Copy, move, rename, preview, archive (ZIP/TAR), and duplicate detection via local hashing all run on your device. There is no file-upload pipeline.
Sharing and downloads
Files leave your device only when you explicitly download them or share them through your system's share sheet. The destination is yours; HumNod is not in that path.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no cloud sync, no servers holding your files.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking of file names or contents.
- Archive passwords you set stay on your device.
Deletion
Clearing site data or uninstalling removes the workspace. Because data lives only on your device, losing the device without an export means losing the workspace - Filely is not a backup service.
Changes
If this notice changes in a material way, we will update the date on this page. We will not weaken the core privacy promises without a clear, dated revision.
